Lakeshore East

16 buildings reviewed

Chicago's most intentionally designed neighborhood — a 28-acre master-planned community built on former rail yards east of Michigan Avenue. Magellan Development Group's vision produced 13 residential towers around a 6-acre park, with Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park as the western anchor. The neighborhood runs from 400 E. Randolph (1963) through the newest towers, Cirrus and Cascade (2021). Whole Foods is in the base of 340 on the Park. The pedway connects you to the Loop without going outside. The lakefront path is steps from your door.

Best for:Buyers seeking a quiet downtown address, lakefront runners, Millennium Park enthusiasts, design-forward residents who want a car-free lifestyle
