The building was renamed Atwater around 2015 following a renovation, but the bones are the same: a Solomon Cordwell Buenz design that prioritizes livability over flash.
At 480 units across 54 floors, it's a large building with a full amenity package — outdoor pool, gym, doorman, resident lounge. The building has been maintained but is showing its age in places. The renovation updated common areas and some units, but older unrenovated units still have 2009-era finishes.
The location on Ohio Street is excellent — you're in the heart of Streeterville, a short walk from the Mag Mile, the lakefront, and Navy Pier. The building is a solid choice for renters who want Streeterville's location at a price that's more competitive than newer towers.
Management is adequate but not exceptional — response times are reasonable and the building is generally clean and well-run, but it doesn't have the white-glove service of Related Midwest properties.
